Is Anyone Else Knitting Christmas Stockings?
Welcome to the 2007 StockingAlong. The primary goal of this knitalong is to help everyone to work towards a Christmas deadline on knit (or crochet stockings). However, if you have a different holiday project in mind (tree skirt, garland, any sort of decorative type item), please feel free to join in. And, of course, those knitting for other winter holidays (Hannukah, Kwanzaa, etc.) are welcome too. The more the merrier.

Laura, that stocking is super cute! What pattern are you using?
Although I finished my 2 stockings enough last year for them to be used, this year I plan to add some embellishments as long as put names on them.
Well I am seeing it! LOL. Still looks very nice. I'd like to know more about your pattern too!
I'm using an old pattern but just as a basic canvas, so to speak. I'm taking the tree graph from one pattern (the older one), the snowman from another pattern, and finally the Santa from another. As for the colors and the name placements, I've winged it on those too and just placed what I wanted as I knit along. Sorry, this isn't very helpful to you, I'm sure.
I love your stocking and I think it is just great that you made it your own by using designs from other patterns.

So, would you be willing to knit 3 of these and sell them? I have one that I had growing up and I would love to have one made for both of my kids and my husband. If you are interested please feel free to email me!!!! meganwebber@live.com. Thanks a bunch!
