StockingAlong
Welcome to the 2007 StockingAlong. The primary goal of this knitalong is to help everyone to work towards a Christmas deadline on knit (or crochet stockings). However, if you have a different holiday project in mind (tree skirt, garland, any sort of decorative type item), please feel free to join in. And, of course, those knitting for other winter holidays (Hannukah, Kwanzaa, etc.) are welcome too. The more the merrier.

It looks great and you finished it really quickly! How big is it?
Any tips or lessons learned?
I'd say it's about 15 inches from the cuff to the heel.
I did learn that Lopi can break if you tug too hard on it. I broke the yarn several times trying to keep the yarn between DPNs snug. Turning the heel was easier than I thought and was kind of cool to watch. If you've never knit a sock before, a Christmas stocking is a good place to learn as the FO is big. It's easier to see the mistakes and fix them.
I love it! I really thing the tweedy yarn was a perfect choice. I'm still waiting for my needles and yarn to arrive to make mine :)
Very cute I agree with jen the tweedy look is great!
