I'd say it's about 15 inches from the cuff to the heel.

I did learn that Lopi can break if you tug too hard on it. I broke the yarn several times trying to keep the yarn between DPNs snug. Turning the heel was easier than I thought and was kind of cool to watch. If you've never knit a sock before, a Christmas stocking is a good place to learn as the FO is big. It's easier to see the mistakes and fix them.

I love it! I really thing the tweedy yarn was a perfect choice. I'm still waiting for my needles and yarn to arrive to make mine :)
